About Us
Observing the lack of representation throughout the media, and when a person of color had been given a platform, oftentimes they were the token voice. So we thought to add another perspective to the landscape. We are seeking to provide news, reviews, opinions and an overall examination of the expanding niche from a less widely represented vantage point.
Cameron Williams
One of the founding fathers of Press X to Start. Off the mic, Cameron is known as the man with his own entrance meme *Thanos entrance*. On the mic, he is known for his recognizable laugh and his fire hot takes (Looking at you ME: Andromeda). But where he is off or on the mics, we all know, it's gonna be a ride!
Donald Harris Jr
The maker of things graphics and animation. Legend has it each one of his fingers has a tiny hand on it, and that's how he is able to create all the graphics. When he's not making a graphic or co-hosting the podcast with Marcus, he is worshiping... the High-Grade RX-78-02 Gundam 1/100 scale. Readying himself for the day he gets to meet it in Japan.
Marcus Ellison
While everyone has an important role to play, Marcus is essentially the reason that you hear the cast every week. When he's not co-hosting with DJ or editing his life away, he's a magical negro-I mean he's an actor (He's got a movie up on Amazon Prime right now!) so don't be surprised if you hear "Sponsor Us Nigga!" at the Oscars one day!
Jordan Barry
Born in the 5th generation, molded in the 6th generation and honed in the 7th. The guy you’d want on your dropteam. Mr. Deadeye and Captain Resource Management. Jordan is the quintessential gamer that could have turned pro if it wasn’t for the arrow he took to the knee back in 2011.
Sean MF Ross
The question on everyone's mind; What does the MF stand for? To Sean, there isn't just one answer, for that would be putting him in a box and no one puts Sean in a box (that's slavery!) Sometimes the MF stands for master-fixer, if we have a problem, Sean has a solution. Sometimes the MF stands for Social Media specialist (The MF is silent), if you saw a funny gameplay clip on the IG or Facebook, you know where it came from.
Douglas Nivens II
When Douglas isn't pushing payloads as Reaper, he is keeping the Press X train on the tracks. When on the podcast, asking thought-provoking questions always come naturally. Don't tell anyone but Douglas is waiting for the day he can yell out OBJECTION on the podcast.
